The Ocean Shores Police Department maintains a database of Emergency Contact Information for businesses within our jurisdiction. This information is kept on file in our in house computer records management system. Our Officers utilize this information in the event of an emergency at a business. more

Drug Abuse Resistance Education, (D.A.R.E.), is a drug prevention program in which uniformed Police Officers go into Kindergarten through Fifth grade classrooms to teach students the life skills they need to avoid involvement with drugs, alcohol, violence, and gangs. D.A.R.E. was founded by the Los Angeles Police Department in 1983. The program was so successful in L.A. that it began spreading to other communities. more
